Methods: A retrospective, epidemiological, descriptive analysis of 197 cases of pregnant women with diabetes from 1999 to 2008. Setting: Department of Obstetrics, Hospital Central de Maracay. Results: The incidence was 0.067% of all cases treated at the Department. The average age was 28.9 years. In parity 53.3% had two to four pregnancies. The 42.65% had gestational diabetes. There were 46.0% of pregnancies that were interrupted by cesarean section. 42.% had a normal obstetric outcome.
